When Biobank were looking for an event organiser in the North west, they knew they had come to the right place when they discovered Assured Events. It was a real thrill to be asked to handle this event. The team was vetted by security staff and had to operate on a need to know basis. In fairness organising conferences or managing events with Royals is not really any different to any other event. There are a few more processes and layers to go through but the principles are the same... attention to detail, clear objectives and the ability to debug as much as possible prior to managing the event on the day.
As a major event organiser in the North west, we knew we had the experience to handle the project. The challenge was convincing the client during the pitch stage. That said, our experience shone through and the team here did a fantastic job! Princess Anne thought so - she stayed about 45 mins longer than her schedule allowed!
As with all event management jobs, the day was exhausting but fantastically rewarding. I think the challenge for serious event organisers in the North west is actually being given a cahnce to handle these sorts of events, as opposed to the so-called national players automatically being allocated the job. I am proud to say that Assured Events did a great job in flying the flag for event organisers in the Northwest!
