Crain's: Best Places to Work

The Background:

The 'Best Places to Work' concept is a long running award ceremony for Crain's in the USA, which was brought to the UK for the first time this year. Manchester businesses were invited to enter the awards, which recognised the best places to work in Manchester, according to the views of the employees who work there.

The Brief:

As this was the first 'Best Places to Work' Awards ceremony for Crain's Manchester, they were looking for a truly memorable awards event.  They briefed Manchester conference organisers and award ceremony specialist, to manage all aspects of the ceremony.

The Solution:

Our Client had already pre-selected a venue that they wanted to hold the dinner and awards ceremony in.  Assured Events were able to take all event handling off the client, including management and payment of bookings, guest registration,  working with the venue to dress and theme the room, managing the awards ceremony and providing AV solutions. A creative approach to event management ensured that attendance at the awards dinner and ceremony was high.  Amongst other things, nominees received party boxes instead of ordinary invitations, including everything they'd need for a great evening. Complete with flags, whistles, poppers and streamers, they set the tone for what would turn out to be an energetic, fun and positive evening!
