It's the season for strange goings-on and there have been plenty of bumps in the night and creaking floorboards at the offices of your event assured recently. That's because we have been burning the midnight oil, working on a pitch for hauntedhotelguide.com. The spirits must have been with us as we won the business!
hauntedhotelguide.com is an online directory of hotels that have a history of the paranormal - whether in the form of apparitions, voices, noises, objects moving - anything that cannot be easily explained. Hotels from all over the country are signing up as there is currently no national directory and the level of public interest in the paranormal is at an all time high!
The website goes live (or is that dead?) on 31st October. But don't let that stop you visiting the site - you can still enter your details to subscribe to the free e-newsletter and will be automatically entered into the draw to win a 2-night stay at Dalston Hall in Cumbria - one of the UK's most haunted hotels!
"We have been asked to create a series of events to promote the site - and what a business to work on!" says Sarah Gilbody. "We worked hard to create a proposal that was different but reflected the client's business. Our efforts paid off as we beat two other contenders".
"Although we have years of experience as individuals, we are a relatively new company ourselves" says Karl Perry. "I think the client recognised that our enthusiasm matched their own. It's a great privilege to be trusted with any client project, but to be there at the beginning of their venture is a very rewarding responsibility."
A whole series of events will be taking place throughout the winter months, the details of which are currently under wraps. However, a spokesman for the spirit world has said that he was confident that his members would walk through walls to get an invite!
