"The lighting, staging, sound and rigging really did deliver the 'wow' factor on the night - it was one of the best NATS corporate functions that I have had the pleasure of hosting"

Degree in Business - Lancaster University:  2007

I started in event management running student nights. This started as one night but quickly grew to the point where I was employing a team of promoters handing out flyers and putting up posters, a few DJ's and also additional door staff. My involvement covered everything from security, acts, venue liaison, promotion and marketing. As a one man band it did take up most the dark hours leaving very little sleep!

Sales Executive, Ferrari & Maserati. Talk about following a childhood dream! I went straight from uni in 2007 to Ferrari & Maserati where I was a Sales Executive. During 18 months selling cars I was fortunate enough to help coordinate the launch of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Maserati GranTurismo and Maserati QuattroPorte GT S.

I'm working in events because. . .

I caught the bug... I started at university organising student nights. Seeing them grow and grow was addictive. Whatever type of event you're organising, there are never two the same so there's always a new direction you can take it. Hard work goes hand in hand with event management - but its very rewarding.  Success is very clear to see which leads to a great sense of achievement when everything goes to plan.

Outside of work I like. . .

I enjoy my football and am a big Manchester United fan and try to get myself to as many games as possible. I used to cycle a lot but had a fairly nasty run in with a car but hope to get back to it in spring! When I've got some spare time after work, beer and football, I have a habit of disappearing to London and taking lots of photos.

If I wasn't working in events, I'd be . .

I'd fancy being a freelance photographer... Travelling the world, just snapping away.
