Previous Experience:

I got my first taste of event management working for Tiger Tiger planning their Hen and Stag parties. In 2009, I graduated with a BA Hons in Management and Leisure from Manchester University. In my 3rd year I completed a 7 week placement at Assured Events and based my dissertation on Sustainability of the Events Industry. Once the placement was completed, I continued to work for Assured Events and at the end of my degree, was offered a permanent role.

I'm working in Events because:

No day is the same. I enjoy interacting with all different types of people, suppliers, clients and my colleagues. At home and University, I was always the one to organise nights out and was good at it, so this seemed like the natural next step!

Outside of work I like:

One of my passions is cooking, but I hate cook books . . I like creating something from scratch that is different from anything else. I have always loved travelling and have been to many wonderful places such as South America, India, Australia, Thailand and Vietnam. It has allowed me to experience many different cultures and ways I life which I believe have developed me as a person.

If I wasn’t in Events I’d be:

Running my own bar – I think I’ve watched ‘Cocktail’ one too many times!
